Hyundai Live Smart Sonata Turbo-Sonata Hybrid
A 4-cylinder Turbo with the power of a V6 controls the road without moving at all
How do you show a powerful car without using any of its power? With a flashlight and a truck façade about 8 inches wide, for starters.
Through man power, solar power, wind power and in-camera SFX, as well as careful attention to recycling and composting, we reduced our carbon emissions on this shoot by 96% compared to a traditional commercial production, and prevented 8.58 metric tones of CO2 from entering the atmosphere. For the remaining 4%, Hyundai invested in carbon-offset credits, making this entire commercial campaign with no carbon footprint.
The Sonata Hybrid inspired us to make this commercial with no carbon footprint
How do we show a beautiful country drive without ever turning on the car? With some serious elbow grease and a battery-powered hairdryer, actually.

2012 Morgan Eva GT
Low-volume British car marque Morgan is still alive and well and making new cars. Like this Eva GT two-plus-two. It looks A) way better than the odd Aero 8 and B) really quite modern in a retro sort of way. What’s especially juicy is that the drivetrain is from BMW, a twin-turbo straight-six making around 300 hp and set into a fairly light aluminum body—about 2,755 pounds Avoirdupois. Deposits are already being taken for 2012 (Morgan is known for having a long waiting list) and the price is expected to be around 80,000 pounds Sterling.

Yes, the Alpina B7 (based on the BMW 7 Series) is fast, fabulous, and available in the United States. But, to paraphrase the Beach Boys, wouldn’t it be nice if we had the 5 Series version—the Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo—over here too? There are eight reasons why, arranged in a classic V. Under the hood is a twin-turbo V8 that makes 507 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Zero to 60 mph whizzes by in just 4.7 seconds and top speed is 191 mph. Which is pretty darn good for a 5 Series. It also has an eight-speed automatic transmission and an Alpina-tweaked adjustable suspension. Surely this would keep us amply amused while we’re waiting for the new M5 to come along.
Jaguar XJ175 Platinum Concept
The Attack of the White Gloves, otherwise known as Pebble Beach, saw Jaguar celebrating its 75th birthday, which could be seen as a minor miracle in itself. Still, as well as showing lovely old cars like the XKSS that Steve McQueen used to own, there was some impressive new metal, symbolizing a marque with renewed confi dence after slipping Ford’s reins.
