This is the top of the range X-lite helmet and it has a spec list that stands up to close scrutiny. For starters it has a five-year warranty, which speaks volumes fort he Italian made lid, allied to measured (size medium with visor) weight that is 20g out from the claimed weight. It really weighs only 1321 grammes which is about 200 grammes less than Brand ‘A’s top lid. There are three carbon-Kevlar-fibre outer shell sizes and six fitments. There are as six types of cheek pads for a perfect fit at your dealer too.And, obviously, a replaceable, washable iner liner. In fact, X-Lite claims its fabric and foam iner aids the wicking away of sweat and the “elasticated microfiber” foam means a snug and stable fit.
The visor replacement system is idiot-proof and lockable and the rear spoiler angle is adjustable too. There are, as you can see, lots of features, as befits a top spec lid. There’s a pinlock-style anti-fog screen, a big tube of silicon lubricant and a bag in the box too. There are 12 graphics, including plain black or white.
